Sustainability

Sustainable Development Goals

Due to the nature of its raw materials and products, CMPC is inextricably linked with nature. That is why in 2017 the Company developed a Corporate Purpose Statement to guide its sustainability strategic focus over the coming years. All areas of CMPC participated in the process, which was led by a committee of high-level Company executives and considered information from the organization’s various stakeholders.

The CMPC sustainability strategic focus has three aspects: risks to which the Company is exposed and are outside of its control, material issues determined by an in-depth materiality analysis and updated every year, and an alignment with the Global Compact principles, sustainable development goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda, to which CMPC subscribes since 2018.
