Sustainability

Due to the nature of its raw materials and products, CMPC is inextricably linked with nature. That is why in 2017 the Company developed a Corporate Purpose Statement to guide its sustainability strategic focus over the coming years. All areas of CMPC participated in the process, which was led by a committee of high-level Company executives and considered information from the organization’s various stakeholders.

The CMPC sustainability strategic focus is based on three pillars: risks to which the Company is exposed that are outside of its control, material issues, and an alignment with the Global Compact principles and sustainable development goals to which CMPC subscribes since 2018.
